How IoT is Helping to Save Budgetary Resources to the Health in Brazil

Governments and private companies face difficulties in maintaining financial balance in health services. Factors such as population aging and medical inflation raise costs and stimulate debates around the world on how to maintain systems’ budget viability. To have a notion of the scale of the problem, according to data from the WHO and the IMF, the expectation for average headline inflation in 2018 is 2.5%, while for medical inflation is 7.2%.
And this scenario bacome more dramatic in the developing countries. Brazil alredy understood IoT, as emerging technology, have the potential to cause great revolutions not only for patients, but mainly for managers and for the society that funds the system. Despite obstacles to be overcome, the country is the seventh health market in the world and continues with growth potential. In addition, the country developed an IoT Action Plan which embrace Health as an strategic sector and envisages investment in infrastructure and promotion for the Startups.
