Biography

Ing. Jaroslav Holeček, PhD. was born in Trnava in 1955. After graduating from the Electro- technical faculty of the Slovak technical university in Bratislava he started to work since 1979 in Trnavské automobilové závody/ Trnava Automotive Company (TAZ) and later as director of the Secondary Vocational School of Engineering by TAZ in Trnava. Since 1992 has started to work for Volkswagen concern, at first in Bratislava at positions of the Professional officer and supervisor personnel department-training employees up to Board Member for the Human Recourses area. Since 2001 Mr. Holeček was the Member of Board for Human Recourses area in Portugal Volkswagen plant AutoEuropa in Setúbal, in 2005 he was back to VW SK and since 2008 he was commissioned to manage HR area in Kaluga, Russia. Since 2012 is the Manager for the cooperation with the universities, researcher at the Slovak Technical University, Faculty of Materials Science and technology in Trnava. In the period of 2012 – 2015 was Ing. Jaroslav Holeček, PhD. the president of the Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President. During his more than 30 years of practice he is an expert in human resources management, education, industrial management and the automotive industry. Since 2012 as a representative of employers’ associations initiated the transformation of the vocational education and the new law on vocational education and training of the graduates in the professions for the needs of the labor market. Mr. Holeček is also Vice-president of the National Union of Employers and Deputy Chairman of the Accreditation Commission, Government advisory body.
