BRATISLAVA INNOVATION BOARD
There are no smart cities without smart people.
However sophisticated the concepts like Smart City are, they can only work out powered by the knowledge base of smart people. Without the proper and up-to-date qualifications, no technologies can be brought to life. To move generations from the clueless crowd to experts appreciated by industry and engaged in public services, the education system must undergo serious changes.
Anton Ondrej – FOR-CE, Chairman, to bring a singficant change vertical integrations must be applied at all the education levels, all connected directy to industrial practice. No pilits allowed, at least mid term results to be delivered soon.
Michal Laco – Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, if public bodies are expected to supervise the Innovation economy development, close attention must be paid to fill all the qualification gaps in the labor market.
Dana Rušínová – The Children of Slovakia Foundation, Director – kids learn easily if they are enjoying themselves. How do we grab enough of their attention to turn their interest in technologies into a life-long affair?
