Mika Kataikko, working in the Business Development organization of City of Jyväskylä, is responsible on the digitalization in the City Development platform programs of City of Jyväskylä, including but not limited to “The Urban Development Area of Kangas (www.jyvaskyla.fi/kangas/en) ” and “The leading promoter of sports, exercise, wellbeing and health in the Nordic Countries, Hippos2020 (www.hippos2020.fi/en) ”.

Instead of just talking about smart technologies, solutions and applications, the key challenge in these platforms is to create real end user value. As well, target should be to  better understand and connect the lifecycle thinking in the platform development and to allow and support ecosystems to merge and develop. This all is to be done in a manner where the ecosystem participants see real business benefit on investing on it, and where the end users also see value and are willing to invest on better living enabled by the technologies. solutions and applications developed in this ecosystem.
