Biography
Deepa Kundur is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada. She received the B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees all in Electrical and Computer Engineering also from the University of Toronto. She currently serves as Associate Chair of the Division of Engineering Science. Professor Kundur’s research interests lie at the interface of cyber security, signal processing and complex dynamical networks. She is a recognized authority on cyber security issues and has appeared in popular media including CBC’s The National and CBC Radio. She has been on numerous editorial boards and currently serves as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security. Her research has received best paper recognition and she has been the recipient of numerous research and teaching awards. She is a Fellow of the IEEE.
Deepa Kundur will chair the International Conference on Smart Grids for Smart Cities (SGSC 2015) in Toronto.
